Abstract

The Body Mass Index is a scientifically acknowledged indicator, established as a result
of studies of a great amplitude that aimed to reveal a link between the height-weight ratio, and
the state of health. Making people aware of the benefits physical exercise has on the body and of the importance of practicing it systematically and independently.
A perpetuation of the actions to promote physical exercise for prophylactic and therapeutic
purposes is a consequence of the population receiving our message, a motivation of the persons
involved and an awareness of the role eating and a sedentary lifestyle play in weight control.
