Abstract

The purpose of the research is to highlight the perception of a segment of the population - the military, in regards to the practice of motor activities. In order to capture certain aspects regarding the perception of the target group on the practice of motor activities, the authors conducted a research on 73 young men from military bases of Bacau. The
instrument used for the inquiry was the questionnaire. It was conducted over the course of 2019-2020 and comprised 11 items with closed and open questions. Based on the results
from the inquiry, the subjects agree in regards to the association of being a military man with the need to exercise, and they recognize the need for regulations when participating in
motor activities during work hours. The subjects would practice such motor activities outside working hours, they gave concrete answers on the necessity of exercising during
their leisure time.
