Abstract

The paper presents the main tests used in Biomechanics Lab of “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati. The MGM test provides the energetic resources, together with control parameters. Thus, it was possible to assess the ability of controlling the energetic resources, the capacity to adapt to different situations, the nature of the training stage (force or velocity oriented). The Lateratest system provides data related to the physiological asymmetries of the body that lead to different behaviour of individuals. Lateratest can reveal facts like normal or abnormal/pathological laterality, the strength of laterality which can be strong or weak (for ambidextrous individuals), the homogeneousness of laterality which can reveal if the laterality is homogenous, or not and even if it is possible to change the laterality using tailor made training programmes. It is also notable that Lateratest can bring information on how the upper limbs and the lower limbs are coordinated during the motion.
