Abstract

Extracurricular educational programs help train childrens for a citizen in a spirit of tolerance, respect for the dignity of others, mutual support, modesty, good sense and other educational values. A number of variables related to family, school and wider social environment (community) can influence the practice of physical activity by children. We made such a diagnosis of these factors. Research group consisted of 70 children of school age (7-12 years). Information regarding the subjects were obtained through questionnaire designed and implemented by us. We were interested in whether parents of these children have practiced a sport, about half did not practice any sport, and in other cases parents have practiced a sport (40% in the control group and 31.4% in group experimental) or children do not know this fact in terms of physical space for practicing at home, it exists only in a small percentage of cases (14.3% in the control group and 22.9% in the experimental group). Regarding spaces for physical activities outside, it is usually in the form of a park or some specially designated areas (71.4% in the control group and 80% in the experimental group). Of the children surveyed, 7 (20%) in the control group and 5 (14.3%) in the control group were selected for sports. I was interested that children practice sports at school. All children said they practice gymnastics and running, none mentioned games and relays, but instead school football is practiced in 60% of children in the control group and 65.7% of children in the control group. Daily life puts students in situations other than those learned lessons and they must know that to meet the physical and mental demands have to be healthy first and source of health is exercise.
