Abstract

This paper aims to prove the importance of a physical therapy program that is suitable for the improvement of the functional capacity, quality of life and reducing of pain in patients diagnosed with cervicobrachial neuralgia. By applying physical therapy methods on a group of 9 patients, the authors have confirmed the major importance of rehabilitation in various stages of this disorder. Among the measured parameters, before and after the completion of the program, there are: pain intensity, mobility of injured limb, presence of a muscle strength deficit, etc., the results confirming the success of the applied treatment. In conclusion, cervicobrachial neuralgia can be successfully treated using physical therapy, the symptoms being considerably diminished in the absence of pain relief and antiinflammatory medication.
