EVALUATION OF MENTAL AND MOTOR DIMENSIONS OF JUNIOR HANDBALL PLAYERS IN ORDER TO SET THE PERFORMANCE TEAM
Abstract
The paper aims to analyze a group of physic and driving qualities that are considered to have a bigger importance in defining the notion of performance sport. Starting from the premise that the manifestation of these qualities are difficult to be observed during the activity of selection and training, we tried to search ways for establishing their level of manifestation in subjects considered, in order to comply with a performance model. Using two different procedures of maintaining the control samples (standard and personal) for the specific qualities in handball game, established by the F.R.H. model, for this level, we tried to distinguish, based on the obtained results, motivational mental qualities to define a performer.Corroborating these results with the psychological tests, Nideffer (attention) and Spillberger (anxiety), we consider that we provide a basis for defining the dimensions of the players’ pattern capable of obtaining the performance in handball game.
