Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the improvement in 50 and 100m freestyle time in 13 year old cadet swimmers by a different back leg training methods. As a conclusion of the research, it can be said that daily back leg training has a positive effect on the performance
of swimmers who compete in freestyle in speed distances, 50 and 100m. And the effects of this study were reflected in the qualification of 11 swimmers (9 boys and 2 girls) from the experimental group of 16 (2 girls did not show up for medical reasons and 3 did not meet the qualification scale) at the regional stage of the National Championships from 25.03.2023 in the speed trials in the backstroke (50 and 100 meters freestyle). From the control group, only 5 swimmers qualified in the freestyle events.
